Hair Metal Mixtape (60)

“OG LA Metal Scene” Yo, what up? How’s it going? Mixtape 60. This title focuses on the monumental era of the LA Metal Scene, from 1981 to 1986, when local hard rock and metal bands took Los Angeles by storm. Y&T was still trudging along. VH was on album #4 by ’81 whilst everyone else was debuting. Ratt was signed in 1983 but was playing since 1977 as Mickey Ratt. Black-n-Blue came down from Portland, Oregon, Metallica was opening for Y&T in ’85 and Poison moved to LA from PA by ’86. Meanwhile, all these musicians were going from band to band trying to figure out where they belong. Then Ozzy and Dio showed up snatching up the guitar greats like Randy Rhoads. Tracks are in sequential order, oldest first. Thanks for listening.
